Born in Detroit and raised in Chicago, the Motown sound and the Blues formed the foundation of DJ Knight’s musical influences. Over time, these influences expanded to include Jazz and Chicago’s original house sound. DJ Knight’s love for the music eventually led him to acquire a BA in Light and Sound Design from Southern Illinois University.

DJ Knight is well known to tailor his set to the audience. House, Hip Hop, Rock, Top 40 and Mash ups are all part of his repertoire. This versatility keeps him in demand. He is the DJ who can read the room and has the intuition to please crowds of all ages. He rocks the house on the decks, and plays the crowd to the peak every time.

DJ Knight has had the pleasure of playing with many accomplished dj's: Mark Grant, Jesse De La Pena, DJ Myke T, DJ Research, Adrien Lestat, Vince Adams, DJ Woodhead,The Stunt Man and many more. His clients have included: • NINE STEAK HOUSE & GHOST BAR, CHICAGO •  THE ZEN DEN, INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL, MILWAUKEE • OPRAH WINFREY’S FASHION CONSULTANT, MARK GILL • LA PERLA • H&M CHICAGO. Sheldon currently resides in Vancouver where he makes appearances at Friday Night Fever, a regular funk night at the Bunker night club.
